Warning: The originals photos, texts, films, music, etc ... of the period previous to 1921 year -see the Act of the US Congress about it - have no copyright and belong to the public domain. However, those same pictures, I process this blog, when I restore and paint the pictures, then the right of modification is produced, ie that are protected by full copyright law, in this case mine. Of course there are many more laws in the world, declared in the public domain photographs (which is the topic at hand), in very later dates to the aforementioned (Example: WWII, Korea, etc ...).

Brazilian Constitutionalist Improvised Armored Tractor (Used by the Sao Paulo Civil Guard) Constitutionalist Revolution, Brazil, 1932.

Brazilian Constitutionalist Improvised Armored Tractor (Used by the Sao Paulo Civil Guard) Constitutionalist Revolution, Brazil, 1932.

Improvised Armored Tractor used by the Brazilians Revolutionary Constitutionalists in 1932.

It was made for the Civil Guard in the rebellious city of Sao Paulo, during the Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932 against the Brazilian Central Government.

It was built on the basis of a notable dimensions tractor. Form the superstructure of the vehicle two rectangular boxes, one for the engine and one for the fighting compartment and the driver's seat in conjunction. The shield was steel and was coupled to the frame using rivets.

Was equipped with four loopholes, one on each side of the combat box, to allow the use of (probably 1 or 2) Hotchkiss Machine-Guns of  7-mm assigned to the vehicle. On the roof, displaced laterally, carrying a small observation turret. The floor was wooden. The crew consisted of five men, including the driver.

It has been attributed, as a basis for the construction of the armored vehicle, the chassis of a Fordson tractor Model 1922,
which is erroneous, because it was a medium sized tractor, being much greater size armored tractor.

The height of the motor housing was next to 2 m. and the engagement of the box, near to 2.5 m. These measures do not correspond to those of the Fordson tractor of 1922. Also the distance between axes is much larger than the Fordson tractor. It is possible that it is a type Case tractor.

It also ensures that two units were made of this model, although all photographs published to date show the same vehicle, so it was probably the only one built.
