Warning: The originals photos, texts, films, music, etc ... of the period previous to 1921 year -see the Act of the US Congress about it - have no copyright and belong to the public domain. Improvised RAF Armoured Car ''The Eagle''. Great Britain, 1940.


“The Eagle” Improvised R.A.F. Armoured Car


Was made on a chassis of a civilian vehicle 15CWT. (750 kg) in 1940. He carried a British Hotchkiss Portable Machine Gun Mk. I  of 7.7-mm. (.303 Caliber), with a small shield placed on a pedestal and arranged especially for antiaircraft fire. We performed another vehicle of the same features called "Daniel". Both must have been used to provide protection to the RAF airfield, where they were intended.

Fue realizado sobre un chasis de un vehículo civil de 15CWT. (750 Kg.) en 1940. Portaba una ametralladora británica Hotchkiss Portable Mk. I de 7,7-mm. (.303 calibres), con un pequeño escudo colocado sobre un pedestal y dispuesta especialmente para el tiro antiaéreo. Se realizó otro vehículo de las mismas características llamado "Daniel". Ambos debieron ser utilizados para dar protección al aeródromo de la R.A.F., donde estaban destinados.
